My OneDrive storage is full from my CC. I've read other reads of people saying to unsync OneDrive completely. I did this two different ways and ran into two problems:
1) I unsync OneDrive completely from my computer. When I try to relaunch Sims 4, all my saves are gone.
2) I try to unsync OneDrive only from ElectronicArts, but a popup comes up everytime saying "Can't stop syncing folder. The folder you tried to unselect contains the Windows Documents folder, which is an important folder in Windows and is currently pointed to OneDrive."
I'm stumped on what I should do next. Again, I've been reading other threads, but everything is overlapping and becoming complicated. Please, can anyone explain it in a way that's easy to follow?
Thanks.
@seapea26 I've merged your post with the master thread for issues with OneDrive. Please see the first post on page one. Choose the method that works for you (and that you can actually implement) and follow the instructions to make it happen.
Unsyncing OneDrive doesn't need to mean losing your saves. You can place those saves, and anything else you'd like to keep, in the new Documents folder the game starts reading after the change. That's probably the easiest approach here, but you do have other options if you'd prefer not to get rid of OneDrive completely.

I followed the steps of deselecting the Sims 4 folder from OneDrive. The next step says: "Once you deselect the given folder, it will be removed from your computer and stored only in the cloud. You can now restore the backup copy you made, and OneDrive won't sync it. If you forgot to back up this folder, you can still download it from onedrive.com." I'm a bit confused on how to restore the backup copy without having it be synced.

@seapea26 You can go to onedrive.com (the website), sign in, and download your files from the "My files" section. If you don't know what I mean, access the website now and have a look.
The part about restoring the backup copy you made refers to the previous instructions to copy the user folder yourself and store it somewhere safe, e.g. an external drive, or even the Downloads folder.
These are two separate options.
