Hi! does the same solution applies to my current situation? I just updated my game last night and had some problems so i ended up re-installing my game, mods and cc. My current progress and slots disappeared, and is replaced with the progress i lost last year.
I first made an EA account last year and had some slots and progress but ended up deleting the game because of storage issues. I recently installed the game again using the same EA account, but all my progress from last year disappeared. I thought it was normal so i ended up making a new one, but when i updated the game last night, i had some issues and ended up deleting everything like i said at the start. When i re-installed the game, the current progress i made this week disappeared and the progress from last year showed up. I don't really know what to do, so i ended up deleting the game and re-installing it again and again. Now both my current progress and progress from last year disappeared. I don't really know what to do now...
Sorry for this long and confusing question, but will the same solution work so i can retrieve my current progress and slots i made this week and not the one from last year?
@kahrhen It sounds like the issue may have been that Sims 4 started reading a different user folder, first when your original saves disappeared and then again when your new ones disappeared and the old ones showed up again. This can be due to OneDrive issues, but that's not the only cause. In any case, step one is to figure out exactly which folder is being used. Here's how:

The part of this guide that explains how to find your missing saves is definitely relevant; whether the other parts are depends on whether OneDrive is involved. If you don't have any luck searching for your saves in File Explorer, you can try using Everything, from VoidTools, instead. It's a more efficient search tool and should turn up any saves left on your computer. Hopefully you find some, or they're on onedrive.com (My Files or the Recycle Bin), because otherwise, there's really nowhere else to look, unfortunately.
