i have been playing sims 4 for years on and off and this is the first time i have gotten this issue i have tried different methods to try and fix it such as adding it as a exception on my antivirus, repairing it and even tried reinstalling it and i still get the issue any help but be great

@BoxMan2978  I've merged your post with the master thread for this issue.  Please try the suggestions in the first post on page one, at least those you haven't already.

You can also try killing the EABackgroundService in the Task Manager, and if that helps, disabling the background service in the App's settings.

    @puzzlezaddict thank you but i came across this thread yesterday and gave a try for the ones i could do but it didn't fix the issue and a couple minutes ago it stopped giving me the running already error now when i try and launch the game it just opened the ea launcher so am not sure what is causing this because i made a new user and it seems to work perfectly fine on that account
