So a couple days ago when I went to play the sims 4 I opened up the EA app and it said that none of my games were installed (even though they definitely are, though I have them on an external hard drive for space reasons, it was plugged in and working fine). It told me to download them, so I re-downloaded the sims but when I tried to boot it up I immediately get the error message "The Sims 4 is already running" (even though it definitely isn't because it didn't even show up in task manager). I have tried absolutely everything from uninstalling the game to reinstalling, clearing the EA app cache, got rid of all mods, run as administrator, allowed app through controlled folder access (which I'd had set to off to begin with), uninstalled the EA app (with revo) and reinstalled, and nothing has resolved the issue at all. Any help would be amazing because I am completely at a loss.
