kcc0rauniio4 But did you do a clean uninstall, as I described? A regular uninstall doesn't remove various hidden files and folders, which means it could leave behind bad data causing this issue.
One thing I can tell you is that this is always a software issue, so there's no reason to get a new computer unless you want one for other reasons. Even if this were unfixable with the incremental approach, you could always reinstall Windows. A new computer would mean reinstalling your data anyway, but reinstalling the OS on this one would mean you didn't have to spend the money.
But I'm not saying you need to reinstall Windows either, at least not yet. This is the thread I was thinking of, about an error that's related to this one:
Initilization error at start up [135dec40:90f690cf:00000075:495f32a0] | EA Forums - 11847307
If you'd like help with the registry side of things, please list the relevant registry entries I asked for here, a bit into the thread:
Initilization error at start up [135dec40:90f690cf:00000075:495f32a0] | EA Forums - 11847307
But if you just want to get back to playing and can back up or reinstall the relevant data, a fresh install of Windows would take care of any problems with the registry, as well as (hopefully) everything else. It would be best not to install any other apps at first, just the EA App and Sims 4, so you can test in as fresh an environment as possible.
