Finally... I'm saved, it was 100% one of my mods that broke, and the game wasn't detecting that it was corrupted, so would just pop up with that error code. A very long and tedious process, but I can finally enjoy my sims again (for now.)
You should download a mod (can't remember the name but I have it) that checks sims 4 mods and tells you which ones are broken. The pop-ups when it finds something that's broken are annoying but it works and will help you. If you already downloaded it then ignore this.
