I have followed every forum post and Reddit post I have seen about this issue I have done ALL things recommended to do with the firewall the permissions, moving files, removing mods and content, clearing cache, uninstalling, reinstalling, repairing literally everything the game will not load or start
I don’t know what to do it was fine until my laptop was updated last night
I do not use steam I use the EA App I don’t know what else I can do does the game just not work anymore?
SwellImplants You mentioned changing firewall settings, but a firewall is not the same as an antivirus, and the initialization error is most commonly antivirus-related. So please check your AV, and if setting exceptions there doesn't help, temporarily disable the AV and try again to play. You may need to repair the game (Steam > right-click the Sims 4 icon > Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of the game files) as well, with the AV disabled.
