Check under Options --> Game Options if they are enabled.
This is the only way i know to do this since every now and then my script mods corrupt my game. So when I downloaded it and re-installed it again, It wasnt loading so I moved it to the desktop. So I went back into the game and it was working perfectly. I went to check my custom content but it didnt seem to show up. I went a retried compressing it, taking the files out and then moving them back in again. I tried again after that.
If this the same problem you're having then your only solution is, sadly, to delete all your CC and Mods and re-download them again. I'm sorry but thats the only way I could figure out to work. If you know a different solution to this problem please reply
Thanks ❤️

Your game did not work with the mods folder there? You're talking about different things in your post, please be clear about what you need help with, your game starting or the mods showing up 🙂
If no mods show up in your game
- Did you place them in C:\Users\Username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods
- Do the game register that there are mods? Do they show up in the list in the beginning or if you open the mods list from the options menu?
- Do you have OneDrive on your computer? Make sure that the game is not using the OneDrive-folders. Try turning off OneDrive before starting the game.
You can check where the game saves your files by looking in your Game Options - Screenshot settings.
Make sure that the path above is the same place as where you have your saves and mods. (not in the screenshots-folder but the one 'above')
You can copy and paste them for easy comparison. Paste them here so that we can check together
Example, the path above and my mods folder:
- C:\Users\Meki\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Screenshots
- C:\Users\Meki\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods
The text in bold needs to be exactly the same
- 8 years agoWell, put in the right file, it does not show if I open the mods list from the options menu. I do not think I have OneDrive.
- 8 years agoYes, Mods/cc is turned on. When I go to the folder in the sims it is all gone, but in the sims file it shows.
