Custom Content will not show up with Sims4 on external drive

Hi, so I’ve downloaded sims 4 on my external drive because of low storage due to custom content and my custom content now does not show in the game. I’ve even uninstalled and redownloaded Sims 4 and tried to move it to the external drive but the custom content still does not show. I’ve made a complete mess , should I restart my whole computer? And if so what would be the correct way to download sims 4 on an external drive and the content actually shows

@Mikglandersson  I'd like the specific locations of these files and folders to make it easier to describe the problem and what you need to do about it.  First, search Windows for "command prompt," open it, and enter this command:

reg query "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders" /v "Personal"

Please post the results.  Please also find a save that isn't loading in-game, right-click it, select Properties > General, and post the full file path you see under Location.  Do the same for one of your mods if those aren't loading either.

Finally, please post the full file path to the folder you want to use for your saves and other user data.

  • krystalsmiley10  Please post a screenshot of the Command Prompt window showing the command you're trying to run and the result.

Please also run this command (listed above):

reg query "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders" /v "Personal"

and post the result of that as well.
