DirectX 9/11
I have discovered that DirectX 11 causes me to no longer switch between windows when I use Alt+tab. If you too are having this problem, try turning off DirectX 11 under the Game Options button, in the graphics subcategory hit DirectX 9. Restart the game and you should be able to switch betweens windows again.
