I just purchased the Discover University Expansion Pack yesterday and although it shows the new world of universities, I cannot interact with the University options or apply to any colleges. To be specific, a “University” option does not pop up when interacting with a computer and I cannot apply via the mailbox, so I basically have no functionality of the university gameplay itself other than the Britechester world appeared after I installed it and I have no idea what’s wrong. I have updated all of my mods and fixed most of the broken custom content. I do not have Sims 4 Legacy Edition and do not need it (I have a new 64 bit PC), so not sure how to go about finding the problem.

@natalieaj14 Do you have any Mods or CC? If so move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game.If it works now check for updates to your Mods and CC. Add it back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.

So I moved my mods folder to my desktop and deleted the localthumbcache.package, but its still not working. By moving my mods folder to my desktop, are you recommending that I actually remove all my mods and CC from the game temporarily to test out the game? If so, do you know how I would go about doing that?

I'm having a similar problem, I've not downloaded any custom content before but thought i'd try removing the mods folder and localthumbcache.package. to see if it would work but no luck. I downloaded discover university a couple days ago along with get to work. Get to work seems to work fine but I'm not able to use any of the discover university game play. Should I uninstall discover university then install again?

@SweetSimEssence Are you running the Legacy Edition of Sims 4? If so, that's the problem: the LE doesn't run Discover University at all. If your computer can only run the LE, you can try asking for a refund from EA customer support. Even though packs are not usually eligible for refunds, support has been making exceptions in this case.

Hi @puzzlezaddict thanks for responding. I don't seem to have legacy, and my PC is a "gaming PC", fairly new, and was only purchased earlier this year so running on 64 bit.

I tried playing the game normally to see if I could give any more info, and noticed I CAN in fact interact with the game-play for discover university but no text is available (if that makes sense) text comes up on every action from the other expansion packs but anything related to discover university, no text shows up, so for example I know you can enrol via the PC, but when I click on the PC, it just shows "..." on the interactions i assume are to enrol. I noticed I'm able to click the interactions but just have no idea what they are. I've included a screenshot of what I mean.

@SweetSimEssence Try repairing the game in Origin: open your game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair.
