dlc is not working properly

Hi, I bought the seasons dlc. The weather works, but the furniture and clothes don't work. I've been dealing with support. At first they told me that the payment didn't go through, so the dlc isn't working properly. Today the payment was credited and it still doesn't work. Support couldn't help me...

Either I have crosses instead of the dlc items, or I see them in purple and they still can't be placed. The game is completely reinstalled. I don't have any mods or cc.

I'm playing on a macbook, i have ea app and  have the sims installed on an external drive. I tried the fix in the EA app several times.
