Download slow, only in EA App

Hello,

I am re-downloading Sims 4.
Issue that I have now, is that I barely hit 1mb download, most of the time I am stuck at 200kb/s.

Things checked so far:
- Emptied EA cache
- Restarted Router & PC
- Opened EA App as administrator
- Checked download-speed on other apps: Steam downloads with 12mb/s as usual
- Tried to download without any other programs open
- Pausing and starting multiple times 

If this goes on, I will probably need a week until I downloaded my 22 packs + basegame.
Any other idea?

    Eggpups  Have you tried temporarily disabling your antivirus?  Of course you wouldn't want to go without one in general, but it would be useful to know whether this helped.

    Aside from that, my only other suggestions would be to download to a different folder, preferably a new one you create specifically for this purpose and that's on the root level of the drive; and to try downloading only the base game first, with the packs to follow later.

      Hello,

      I have the same problem with the new Dragon Age update - the download speed is 16kb/s, that is unacceptable!

      I already did the recommended stuff ( - Emptied EA cache
      - Restarted Router & PC
      - Opened EA App as administrator
      - Checked download-speed on other apps: Steam downloads with 40mb/s as usual
      - Tried to download without any other programs open
      - Pausing and starting multiple times )

      Now I deactivated my Antivirus program and set a new folder, but same problem.

      And if I look through different posts a lot of people have this issue. We need a solution here!

        P.S. I turned my VPN on, now the speed raised to 1MB/s. Maybe it helps you to find a solution.

    Same problem here, today's updating and downloading the new expansion pack is sooooo slow. also tried the above things, nothing's working. :(

    Same thing happens to me rn i got a new pc and im still trying to download sims.its been hours and its always stuck at 3%

    Hello, like everyone here, I tried all possible options, and nothing worked. Out of frustration, I paused and restarted the download about 10 times until the speed suddenly shot back up to 7 MB/s. I therefore assume it’s simply connection issues with the servers – perhaps things have improved for you by now, but I just wanted to share this.

    Had this issue yesterday. 12 hrs later and still not downloaded. Then EA app stopped responding. I gave up.
