EA App asking to redownload Sims4

EA app is asking me to redownload S4 and has also changed my recently played status to 2 days ago. However I was playing the game just fine minutes before shutting it down. I saved then exited so I can pick back up later. I’ve had the EA app for 4 months now and my game for years, 8000+ hours worth. And not to mention, I just finished a gorgeous build so I’m really disappointed that this is happening. I truly can’t find what went wrong besides this being an app error, can anyone please help? I’ve searched tons of threads and not a single one has fixed my issue especially after people had an issue back upon initially downloading the new app. Thank you😕

    @Aly1233  The easiest fix is to just let the App download the game again.  If you choose the same location as you've always been using, the App may simply verify the already-present files instead of downloading them and then finish the install process.

    As for why this happens, the most common cause is an antivirus blocking or quarantining some element of the game.  If you haven't already, set exceptions for TS4_x64.exe and EADesktop.exe.

    Your build should still be intact if you saved it before quitting the game.  Builds are stored in the user folder, not in the game's program files.
