EA app won’t open - red X popup appears when launching The Sims 4
when i try to start the ea app or the Sims 4 i get a popup box with a red x in it

@joecobra72 Please download a fresh copy of the EA App installer:
https://www.ea.com/ea-app#downloads
and run it. You should see the option to repair the App, and please choose that. Then restart your computer and see whether the App works. If it doesn't, please post a screenshot of the error.
Sims 4 won't work unless the EA App opens and loads properly.
