entire mod folder emptied after update

yes, i took out the tray, mods, and saves folders before updating. but the mods folder specifically is empty. maybe i didn't archive them right. is there any way to see what mods i had installed if there is no way to repair them???

If you don't clear your browser data regularly, you could also go through your history looking for downloads.  This would be tedious, of course, but it's up to you whether it's better than starting from scratch.
