everytime i load up sims the menu screen is glitched out and just black??

this happened after i updated my game & relaunched it to load up my mods. it was completely fine before the relaunch and now i cant click on anything.

i tried restarting my laptop, verifying the integrity of game files, removing the mods i'd gotten right before this but it's still the same black screen.
