Files are gone or moved

I just played my Sims 4 two days ago and all was fine. Now it's like the files have been all re-arranged. Will reinstalling help? I have all packs and Expansions...will I need to re-installl them all, or just Sims 4. I've looked on Origin and can't find any where to re install content. Where would I look, and will it help?

    @Vatrovia  Your mods go in the Mods folder in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4.  The whole Sims 4 folder will be created the first time you launch the game after installing it.  Be sure to enable custom content and script mods in the game options before quitting.

    If you don't see the folder even after you've opened the game once, open a File Explorer window and search for "config" without quotes.  Find the one that's inside a Sims 4 folder, right-click on it, go to the file location, and you'll be inside the user data folder that also has a Mods folder.

    @Vatrovia  What do you mean that the files have been rearranged?  If your packs aren't currently downloaded, click on the Sims 4 icon in your Origin game library, choose More > Expansion Packs, and click Download on any pack you own.  Do the same for Game Packs and Stuff Packs.

    If Sims 4 is installed but Origin doesn't see it, right-click on the Sims 4 icon and select Locate Game, then direct Origin to the location of the installed files.

    If you're not sure what's going on, please take a screenshot of what you see.

    It's as if Sims 4 isn't there.  How do I re-install my game? I can't find any where on Origin to do so

    @Vatrovia  Open your Origin game library, and dismiss any filters (in the upper right corner).  If that doesn't help, search Origin for "Sims 4," go to the store page, and see whether you have a Buy Now or Download button (or possibly Play).  If you can download or play, go ahead.

    If you see Buy Now, please make sure you're in the correct Origin account; some people don't initially realize they have more than one.  If this isn't the issue, you'll need to contact EA customer support to find out what happened to your game.

    @puzzlezaddict I un-installed the game ad re-installed....it did not install in where it should of! It installed in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin_LE\TS4.exe"

    @Vatrovia  That's exactly where TS4.exe should be.  When the Legacy Edition was released in November, files were rearranged so that the Bin_LE folder, used by the Legacy Edition, contained the corresponding executable (TS4.exe) and other files that the LE needed to work, e.g. the graphicscards.sgr and graphicsrules.sgr files.  The executable for the standard version of the game is TS4_x64.exe, and it should be in the Bin folder as it has been for years.

    Huh...ok...but how am I to download anything and put it in my mods folder if it's it's not there?

    @Vatrovia  What error(s) are you getting?  You shouldn't need to run Sims 4 in compatibility mode—it works just fine in Windows 10, most of the time.
