Firefly glitch (aquatic decorations)

Good afternoon. I’d like to apologize in advance if anything is unclear; I am using Google Translate to communicate this in English. I’ve been playing The Sims 4 for quite a few years, but I haven't been able to play for the last few months. I’m not sure if it happened after an update or something similar, but the decorative fireflies aren't visible on my lot—even though they *are* visible outside of it. I know they are nighttime-only, but the world's fireflies (outside the lot) show up fine, while the ones I placed on my lot don't appear. Could someone help me figure out what’s going on?

    FreyaDeviluk​  Please test on a different lot in a different world, and if that doesn't work either, on yet another lot in a different world but in a new save.  Start the new save in summer to make sure the issue isn't related to the seasons or weather.

    And to be clear, did the fireflies show up properly at some earlier point?  I understand you haven't played for a while, but it would still be helpful to know whether this issue is new-ish or always existed.

    Hi, thanks for the reply. Yes, I play on Ultra settings with handheld mode disabled; I have an HP Victus.

    FreyaDeviluk​  Do you still have this problem if you run Sims 4 on ultra graphics settings, with laptop mode disabled?  Even if your computer can't handle these settings in general, it won't hurt to try them for a minute or two.  Change the settings and restart the game, then have a look.  And it's critical to disable laptop mode if you're currently using it; you can also test with only this setting changed.
