Frozen Sim whilst time goes on

https://help.ea.com/en/help/the-sims/the-sims-4/how-to-reset-stuck-and-unresponsive-sims-in-the-sims-4/?isIhi=true&p=the-sims-4

I have done all the 'fixes' using the above link. My sims still won't do anything and stands there whilst time moves on. This is all since I have got businesses and hobbies. I have tried repairing my game multiple times. I have no Mods or CC before anyone tries to suggest it's that causing the problem.

Build mode works fine - just live mode you can't do anything. It will still queue up the actions but they won't ever drop down and the sim will just stand for hours.

I have also tried two new saves to see if it was the save corrupted but it's not that either.

Any help would be great!

  • jadeneclegg  Do you still need help?  If so, when you tested the new saves, did you use your existing sims or a house you'd built or downloaded from the Gallery?  The most thorough test is to use fresh sims on a default EA-made lot, so please try that if you haven't already.

If that doesn't or didn't help, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

  • Hello,

Yes - definitely still need help!!!

No - brand new game from the home page, brand new sims using cas. Nothing form the gallery. Brand new house from empty lot that I made in Build mode (that all worked fine).

I'll have to upload the dxdiag thing later this week as am at work all day today and tonight so wont have time at the start of the week to play sims.

    Thanks for the response/comment!

  • jadeneclegg  I'll be here when you're ready.  But in case it's not clear, you don't need to even open the game again in order to provide the dxdiag.  It will have all the same information in any case, with the possible exception of the list of Windows errors, which will be the last ten that happened.  So while the dxdiag might not list all the recent Sims 4 errors, if they exist, we can get started without that data.
