There is something in my sims tray folder that says 0x000001 and then a bunch of other numbers. Could that be something?
Does it have the extension .save and say slot_0000000X.save ?
The files in the tray folder have odd numbering so it's probably not it.
I would try searching for slot*

also i dont know if this is relevant but my origin kept saying it was offline no matter what i did before it happened
Did you go back online ? It shouldn't matter though as the Origin online status has nothing to do with your user files
Use windows search and search your hard drive for the files.
