Game crashes on one computer but not the other

Hi, so I've been having issues with the sims 4. I recently got a new computer - an acer nitro, upgraded from a macbook. (P.s. I have also been playing sims 4 for almost 7 years now).

For the past 2 weeks I've had the new computer, sims 4 has worked completely fine, no issues. This afternoon, it crashed and when I tried to open it up again I received the following issue code: 135dec40:598068e4:00000078:37b2003

I have deleted all my mods, then repaired the game. I have deleted the casche folders then repaired the game. I have even deleted the entire sims 4 folder, then restarted the game, but nothing. It either crashes with the above error code or it is stuck on a blank white page.

Now the weird thing is, I don't know if it is an issue with the game or the computer itself, because I still own my macbook and tried to start sims 4 on it and it worked completely fine, launched and I can play it fine.

I think i need to email the computer customer service people, but I wanted to check if anyone else has had an issue to ensure it isn't something related to the game?

Thank you for any help!

  • IzzyDizzy321  The initialization error is typically antivirus-related, which would also explain why it's only happening on one computer.  So please set exceptions in your AV for TS4_x64, TS4_DX9_x64, and TS4_Launcher_x64, or the entire Bin folder they're in.  You may need to repair the game again before or after, depending on whether the AV has quarantined some component of the game.

If it helps, here's a guide to setting exceptions for Windows Defender and a couple of popular antivirus programs:
