@Butterskotchus What lot is involved? And what is currently on it: a played household, an unplayed household, a community lot, etc.? Does this happen in a new save as well? Please test it without mods, and let me know whether the game crashes. If you get an error code, please post a screenshot.
I'm attaching an image of the map with the lot highlighted. Right now it's a bulldozed residential lot.
I tested it with a new save, and it didn't crash.
However, when I tested it with the original save and no mods, it still crashed. No error code, the game just closes.
Thanks for trying to help out! I appreciate it.
Can anyone help with this?
@Butterskotchus I'm sorry, I must have missed your reply. I didn't mean to leave you hanging like that.
Can you bulldoze the affected lot? You can access it from Manage Worlds without ever having your sims travel there. If there's something on the lot you'd like to preserve (I know your screenshot is blank, but buildings don't always show on glitched lots), you can save it to your in-game library first. If it really is blank, you can try placing a saved building on it instead.
No worries, thanks for helping out.
It's empty, but I bulldozed it again, and sadly the problem still persists.
Same thing when I place a lot from the gallery.
I can't save it or go to manage worlds -- the game immediately crashes.
I also installed today's update, but that didn't fix the problem either.
@Butterskotchus Try bulldozing and building on the lot while playing in a clean user data folder. Move your entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop. Launch the game to create a clean folder, and quit at the Main Menu. Don't add anything to this folder except your save: Go into the saves folder inside the Sims 4 folder you moved, copy the affected save, and paste it into the saves folder inside the new Sims 4 folder in Documents\Electronic Arts. (Copy and paste instead of dragging and dropping so you have a copy you can experiment on while the original stays intact.)
If you get the same crashes, try restoring one of the automatic backup savse instead, again in the clean folder. You can use the manual method here:
