Game Crashes When Save File is Present

Cloudd1234 Because the Main Menu now loads a preview of your most recent save, the game can crash if it has trouble loading that preview. So try taking out your most recent save only, and see whether you can load into the game and play an older save. If you can, save your progress so that that becomes the newest save and therefore the one the game tries to preview, then add back in your main save and see whether you can load it using the Load Game button.
If the game crashes with any saves present at all, create a new save, play it for just long enough to save your progress, then add your old saves back and try loading one of them. Let me know how it goes.
