Game crashing after placing walls and fences

I’m hoping someone here can help me because I am at a loss. I have been playing a current save file for a few weeks now, trying to finish all the collections and max every skill.

Things have been going fine until I bought and downloaded Life and Death. The game overall has been working okay, a little laggy here and there and my sim just stops doing what I tell them to, but nothing out of the ordinary for the game. Until the other day. I built a house in Ravenwood where I currently live and am keeping my collections all together in the home. It is the largest lot (the one on the far right of the map, don’t know what the lot name is sorry) and the house is barely furnished. The only things I have put or displayed are the items for the collections I have acquired this far. Now, when I go into build mode and try to place a wall or fence or remove either, the game won’t do it at all and then won’t let me save or do anything after that. Even going back into live mode does nothing. When I go back to live mode I can press play, 2x, and 3x speed, but the game is still paused (red border, game not moving at all). When I try to save, it gets stuck in a loop and I even let it sit and figure itself out last night for an hour and it still hadn’t saved.

As of a few moments ago, I had repaired my game, restarted my computer, updated and downloaded graphics drivers (NVIDIA GeForce app), restarted the EA app, then restarted my computer again. Then shut it down and turned it back on, and I am still having the same issues. I also have no cc and no mods in my game.

EA? god? anyone? Please help. I have put so much time into this save and if I lose it because of this I truly will never play this game again. I’m at my wits end.
