Game crashing during start screen

the lastCrash_63881682289 at E:\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 won't attach

Having the same problem, I play for 2 days ago no issues. After the small patch this morning I open my game, its would load the sims 4 logo show the loading screen and then shut it self down. Fingers cross they will have a small patch to repair it. :(

same problem here. played with no problem yesterday and once i did the update this morning, the game crashes during the start screen. repairing and taking out the mods did nothing.

i fixed after some more reading around
move the folder sims 4 from \Documents\Electronic Arts to any other place
lunched the game (it did lunch) wich created a New The Sims 4 folder
created a new game until the sim was at the house. exit and save
move the mods back to the NEW the sims 4 at \Documents\Electronic Arts game worked fine
move the 2 last playable save i had Slot_00000002 and Slot_00000002.save.ver0
                  the game is running as i write whit my save, sims, and mods

tried this and same problem. I even copied my sims 4 game fold and uninstalled the game and reinstalled it to a new driver and same problem happened I think its something with my pc.

Same issue. played yesturday, and when i was gonna play again after the update the game did not work. I've done everything. uninstalled and installed again, repair, restart computer. nothing works.

If that doesn't help, move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, then try again to play.

If that doesn't help either, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

Hi I did this and it worked yet I'm unable to get back my saves despite adding my last 2 saves - I placed them in the Saves folder aside "Scratch"

LilyRose8433​  The scratch folder shouldn't be involved here, and in fact it shouldn't exist at all when you don't have the game open.  So please move the saves directly into the saves folder and delete the scratch folder entirely.

did you delete the new saves ?. i did, maybe you need to "Load Game" not just resume game (which load the latest played save the NEW set up game we just made to verify if it works)
