Game Crashing Loading Household Main Menu

Last night my game crashed during loading, so I shut down my computer and went to bed. Today I reopened the save and was able to reach the household selection screen normally.

However, whenever I select this specific household and click Play, the loading screen starts, but the game crashes before the household finishes loading.

This happened after I experienced the university/dorm issues I reported earlier, although I haven't confirmed whether the two problems are related.

At the moment I can't get past this screen because the game crashes every time I try to load this family. Has anyone experienced this or found a fix? I'm hoping to get this resolved so I can play again after work today.
