Game Crashing While in Build Mode since For Rent Patch

While building on low graphics, with no CC or mods, my game keeps crashing. I'll go to place a trim or a roof or an object, and suddenly it won't let me place anything. If I save and exit at this point, it continues spinning unless I restart my computer. I've checked for updates on my device, it isn't a me problem. It's been happening since the For Rent Patch, so hey, EA staff, I hope that makes it easier to find the bug. I've tried every solution online, tried different devices, nothing has worked.
