Dianna124 Please test with your Mods folder removed, just to be thorough. The Sims 4 errors in your dxdiag could be mod-related.
The issue with your build sounds like it might be this:

Game played well for awhile until just now. I had my sim travel to another lot, and when she returned home I went into build mode. Was able to perform one placement, just like before, then unable to do nothing. Closed the game and it froze on 'saving'. Just removed the mods folder. Will see how it plays with that change.
