Game fails to launch, crashes with no error code

Following the update July 21, 2026: The game loaded and played fine last night. This morning all seemed normal, the app opened as usual and the game start page opened as usual. However, when I click "Resume" game it attempts to load and then it crashes back to the desktop. The app stayed open. There is NO error code.....

I have restarted the app, restarted the PC and now I am wondering if it is something EA needs to fix after the update or if there is more I should do.....hmmmm

Anyone else having this problem?

    All4Him​  Can you load a different household in your old save?  Please try sims you've never played, and if that works, play them for a bit and then try switching back to your main household.

    Update:  I am able to start a new game and reload it. But, I cannot open my old game after saving it the night after the update.
