Game freezes when left idle for 30+ minutes

Most often it white screens and won’t budge or it crashes and closes completely. This time I left it idle for approx 1 hour (I play between working) and it is showing the main menu screen but is frozen, after having left it on live, paused. 

I do not have all packs- forgive me if I forget the proper names but I have pets, realms, celebrity, werewolves, vampires, laundry stuff, get together, supernatural, horse ranch, cottage 

no current mods or cc, on windows pc
