If it works in that mode, then it's a background program interfering and you will need to find out which one.
I would def also update your drivers.
Hi Crin,
Have tried clean reboot today and it made no difference. Have downloaded and installed Intel updates, which didn't help either. The driver updates from Acer don't seem to be available for the Display/Graphics, only sound, touchpad etc and they are dated 2017/01/09. I also did a disc cleanup.
Is there a way for me to uninstall the packs I have bought since this issue started happening to see if they are the problem?
I took a video of what happens when I try and play but it's telling me it's too large to upload with my reply here.
Thank you

@crinrict Hi Crin, I've just repaired the game via origin and it seems to be working normally now, I've been able to open a Sulani household which is more than I've been able to do for weeks. Hopefully this means no further issues 🙂 fingers crossed, thank you again for all yur help troubleshooting.

To uninstall a pack, there's three ways, two of which are unsupported and you'll be doing at your own risk
- Uninstall the whole game and only reinstall what you want (supported method)
- Disable the pack: https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2017/03/disable-single-packs/ (probably best method to just try stuff, unsupported)
- Uninstalling by deleting the files (unsupported): https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2015/08/uninstall-single-packs/
