Game is Crashing in Build Mode

If anyone knows if this issue could be related to that video card message, please let me know! Here is the full message, it only pops up when I first start a clean user folder save: "Your video card is not recognized in our database. We have optimized your graphics settings for improved performance. These changes will take effect after you restart the game. If you experience performance issues, you may need to adjust the settings manually." I have already tried adjusting the settings and it didn't stop the crashes in build mode, but maybe I just didn't adjust them the right way? The game had them as high as they would go and I lowered them. Maybe I didn't go low enough, but this is a new gaming laptop that I had thought would be able to handle any of the settings like my last one did. I'm also wondering if I should try setting memory boost to "Enabled." I think it's still in beta so I've been hesitant to try that.
