Game keeps freezing

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? Finnish
How often does the bug occur? All the * time.
What is your current game version number? I dont know where to check this but it's up to date.
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? 19 packs, their names are in Finnish and I am not going to take the time to write them all down.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Interacting with small kids seems to do the trick (makes the game unplayable).
What happens when the bug occurs? Things move but time freezes and the sims stop walking etc. and won't do a thing. The game also refuses to die, so the only thing left to do that won't break the computer is to log off. Can't even access control panel when this bug happens.
What do you expect to see? I want a game that isn't constantly freezing.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? No.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Don't know. I recently started playing again but it seems I won't in a while.
Please describe the patch or change you made. This bug didn't happen when I last played Sims 4 (in the summer maybe).

Also, I cleared the ConfigOverride folder. Did nothing, the bug actually only seems more persistent now.

God I hate EA. FIX YOUR GAMES PLEASE.

  • @merkulesss93  As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs.  Please test in one of the base game worlds, using a default EA lot and a new sim you create in CAS, nothing from the Gallery.

If that doesn't help, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
