RenanPisi If Avast is most of the source of the lag, you have a few options. You can remove it again, using only Windows Defender, which is as good as the free version of Avast at least; you can pause real-time scanning and other protections while playing; or you can set exceptions for the game and hope that's enough. The exceptions to set are for TS4_x64 and TS4_DX9_x64 (for the DirectX 11 and 9 versions, respectively), and EADesktop.exe as well.
FusionG30 This player absolutely does not need to play in laptop mode, or use DirectX 9 mode, or probably even lower the graphics settings much unless they're playing on ultra settings. Lowering settings because of lag that's already been demonstrated to be due to a third-party application isn't going to accomplish much of anything either. And compatibility mode causes more problems than it fixes, especially with a game that runs natively in Windows 10 and 11.
