Game launching without showing up

blue_alixir Do you have Steam's family sharing or similar enabled? (I think there's a separate friend-sharing option too.) If so, please disable it and try again.

Otherwise, please try playing in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop. When you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs, that is if you can get that far.

If you still can't play, please provide a dxdiag. Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

gwytrintas Test your mods and custom content first, in the clean folder, as this is the most common source of error. If you have a lot of files to go through, the 50/50 method can make the process much more efficient:

Once you've done that, you can copy over the contents of the saves and Tray folders, plus Screenshots and Recorded Videos if you care about those. The rest can be discarded; the game will regenerate the files and folders as necessary. The content folder holds SDX data, so you'll need to redownload it.
