game loads white screen or window minimizes immediately and won't stay open

Seems two issues are happening since September. 

Most times I load my game, I am given a white screen but can hear the in-game music playing. The white screen will not go away unless I hit the windows key, which minimizes the game, and then the game will NOT reopen for more than a split second. 

In the event I am not given this white screen, then the game simply immediately starts minimizing. I am unable to do anything within the game--I cannot even close it without force quitting from the task manager.

I have tried the following with zero success:

- dxdiag does not have the Run 64-bit DxDiag button, so can't try that

- I have updated all my graphics drivers

- I have uninstalled and reinstalled the EA app and TS4 game.

- Changing the window settings in options.ini to fullscreen: 0 did nothing (the game still loads in full screen despite this change)

All mods and CC are removed from the game file and disabled regardless, as TS4 automatically does when new updates are released. 

I'm just trying to have a better day, and I can't even play the game as an escape.
