Game suddenly very slow and laggy
Hey! I've been having trouble with my Sims 4 recently. My game is horribly slow, the framerate is terrible to the point where it's impossible to play. I've tried all possible solutions, I've repaired and completely reinstalled my game multiple times. The problem can't be with my laptop's performance because everything was working fine until one day I opened my game and suddenly everything turned laggy. I don't recall doing anything specific before that. Just to be safe, I tried to lower my graphics settings, but didn't notice any impovement. Playing in wIndowed mode doesn't work, completely removing the mods doesn't work, trying the 32-Bit version (I don't know why I did that, at this point I'm trying out everything) doesn't work. All the drivers are up to date, my Firewall doesn't detect any viruses, there's have more than enough RAM space and every game I own is working just fine except for Sims 4. I'm just at loss, I don't know what else to do.
Thanks in advance.
Ok, your CPU is getting to hot...
...and is throttling all the time because of that:
Also, it seems that your NVIDIA GPU is not utilized:Lets handle the GPU utilization last, that could be a a side effect of the failing cooling.
You need to clean, or let someone clean, your Notebooks fan system.
It might also be necessary to examine the condition of the cooling components in the notebook, but clean the fan system first, if that doesn't help, we'll see.Edit: Also, thanks @puzzlezaddict for tagging. (I was sure I did wrote that in my first post in here.... )
