Game takes unreasonable time to load

Hello!

I took a break from playing the Sims 4 in March. With all of the problems caused by recent updates I was hesitant to play again, even though I wanted to.

I spent 7 hours yesterday just trying to get into the game. I removed Gshade, all script mods, and repaired and restarted (and deleted localthumbcache) so many times, as well as deleted so many things on my computer in case it was storage. It would take 30+ minutes just to launch, then another maybe 20-30 to get to the menu screen, where the family woudln't even be on the screen and it was very laggy.

So I removed my mods folder completely. This game is unplayable without mods, and I don't even have that many, not to mention I never had this issue just 2-3 months ago? Without mods, it launches in about 10 minutes, but still lags very heavily. I have most expansion packs before 2023, almost all game packs and stuff packs, and no kits.

Attached is a photo of what I see in cas, no mods, traits are nonexistent. I have a gaming laptop from 2020 (NVIDIA HP Pavillion), so if that's the problem please help... Do I get some type of new computer part?

    sevillaab​  I've moved your post to the PC tech forum since this is still a problem (albeit a smaller one) with your Mods folder removed.  Does this happen with your entire Sims 4 folder removed or renamed?  This would remove your saves too, but the point is to see whether something else in the folder is a problem.

    If this doesn't help, please try again, except with your computer offline.  You can sign into the EA App and put it in offline mode, then disable wifi and/or disconnect the ethernet cable before pressint Play.

    If that doesn't help either, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
