I'm having problems of launching the game after clicking play from the EA App. I worked fine last night. It not today. I've tried repairing the EA app, uninstall and reinstall the EA app and it still does it. I also got rid of my mod in my Sims4 folder. Is there anything else I need to get rid off.
This has been happening to me too, and when it does start it crashes to the desktop. Then if I try to open it again the EA App says there's a problem on their end and to try later...this has been happening all day. I posted a longer description in another thread but I have literally tried everything suggested to get into my game and can't. Do you by chance have Nvidia as a GPU and did you update yesterday?
Fengjui Does it help to restart your computer before playing? If not, try removing or renaming the entire Sims 4 folder in Documents > Electronic Arts. You don't have to delete it; this is just a test.
What I did, is that I uninstall the Curseforge app and then uninstall my Sims 4 game followed by the EA app. I then rebooted my computer and reinstall EA app and the Sims4 and so far no problems well except for the Sims Delivery Express error message that keeps popping up.
Fengjui You may be able to get rid of the message by disabling SDX updates in the game options. There isn't currently any SDX content, so the problem is the game trying and failing to check for it.
If at some point in the future, there IS an SDX with content you want right away, you can try downloading it then. But you could also ignore it since this content is always patched into the base game during the next update after the SDX release.

This link is to a list on a similar thread of everything I tried, absolutely none of it worked. I ultimately ended up having to reset my pc to factory and redownload and install and log in to everything.
