"get into hair, makeup" doesn't work

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? 한국어
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? PC 1.47.51.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Everything except several item packs
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Acting career, "get into hair, makeup, costume" interaction
What happens when the bug occurs? My actor sim's hair and make don't get changed and it remains same as it is
What do you expect to see? studio lot
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

Hi,

Ever since I've played Get Famous,  "get into hair, makeup, costume" just doesn't work somehow. My actor sim's outfit got changed, but no makeup or hair.

The hair stylist does lots of stuff (hair spray, hair cut etc.) but my sim's hair and makeup never got changed, not even once.

Is there anything I can try out to fix this?

     Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

    You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

    After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

    Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

    • Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
    • Tray Folder
    • Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
    • Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
    • Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
    • Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

    The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

    Works for me, maybe because your Sim game is not English version?

    Hi @blingblingcindy

    what kind of mods/cc where you using that you removed ? Did you also delete the localthumbcache file ?

    Is this limited to a certain save game or do you get the same if you start a new one for testing purposes ?

    Did you use a skin tone cc?

    No default Skin tone can not change makeup and hair...

    So I'm trying to enjoy the original Sims without cc.TT

    I am very happy if I can refer to skin tone cc as well!

    I've tried playing three different sims without CC, and two of them were fine. The other one still remains as it is. Got no idea what makes the difference.

    I do not know if this still relevant but custom skin was the problem for me. Once I tried this interaction on default skin it went like magic
