What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? I have almost all of them, but I have stopped buying temporarily. The last pack I got was Get Famous back when it first came out.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Put in an aquarium and fill it with fish. I don't know if this happens with fish you purchase, but it surely works with fish I caught and placed in the aquarium myself. Shut a light off in the room and they should vanish. Turn the light on and they should appear.
What happens when the bug occurs? Fish are gone. You go into a room and the tanks are empty, but if you open the tank it shows the fish that are in it. When you turn a light on in the room, the fish reappear. Shut the light off, the fish vanish.
What do you expect to see? I'd like to see my fish all the time, lights on or off in the room. They should NOT be invisible.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. I'm not exactly sure when this happened as I don't play every day. I know for sure it happened this month of January.
I have vanishing fish in my Sims home aquariums! The tanks are fine and when you "open" them to see what fish are there, it shows them so at least the fish are not lost. However, they're not shown to be swimming in the aquarium. However, if you turn on a light in the room, the fish suddenly appear again. They are only invisible when the room is not lit. This seems to have been a new thing in the month of January for me, but I can't say exactly when as I haven't had the chance to play in a while. However, these last few plays this past week is when I've seen and continued to see the problem.
