having a fairy infant in household makes game crash to desktop

the moment my fairy sims had a baby, my game became completely unplayable. 

at first it only crashed when i entered CAS and attempted to plan outfits for the infant sim. so i thought, fine, i’ll wait til the bug fixes to create outfits. wrong.

after that, it crashed any time i attempted to load the save at all. loading a new household didn’t help. crashed. this happened about 10 times.

when i played a recovered save from before the baby happened, it worked. so i thought i’d try adding a toddler — maybe only the infants cause crashes? wrong. crashed to desktop again. had to do the whole recovery thing again.

i just spent $40 to make my game completely unplayable.

    p0cketmouse​  Please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

    Please also let me know whether this happens in a new save, with no mods or custom content present.  You don't need to spend much time on the save—just create an adult or two and an infant or toddler and see what happens.
