Help.

Long story short, I was trying to figure out an easier way to figure out what mods/scripts are broken in my game. From there, I couldn't figure out why my mods were still showing up in the game even when I took them out. I moved my stuff from C: to D: last year, with no problems.

Through the whole journey of uninstalling, reinstalling, I saw my mods were still there and my saves. I tried manually move things around and all of a sudden my saves were gone too.  I've deleted any documents that were recognized as The Sims 4, after uninstalling it a second time.

This all started with wanting to remove the CAS glitch, where it wouldn't let you remove items and had funky overheads over the items on CAS.

I'm stressed out.

  • natisms  Is the current problem only the missing saves, or do you still have a mod-related issue too?  For the saves, try searching your computer.  Open a File Explorer window, click This PC in the left panel, and enter Slot_ in the search field in the upper-right corner.  The search will take a while, and if it finds any Sims 4 saves, you can put them back into saves inside the folder the game is reading.  Here's how to find it:

If you don't find any saves, check onedrive.com, both My Files and the Recycle Bin, in case any of your data was synced at some point.  Maybe you'll get lucky.

Other than that, if you've deleted your saves and emptied the recycle bin on your computer, there's unfortunately nowhere else to look.
