How do I change the location of my Mods folder?

I installed the sims 4 on my D drive where there is available space (This PC/New Volume(D:)/Program Files(x86)/Origin Games/Sims 4) but when I started the game it created a new Electronic Arts folder ...

Im having the same problem but Ive tried moving my documents already, im using a external hd btw

Hello.
There can be issues when using an external hard drive. It would be best to use another inner hard drive.
