How do I open a retail store?

I have looked for the option to open a Retail Store but I can't seem to find it.  I saw an indicator when I first started the game that asked if I wanted to Open a Store but I selected Not Now and it...

    Hi @dustydas,

    You have to use the phone in order to buy and open a retail store. You can find the option under the Career/Household tab. Also, your Sim will own the store, but it won't show as a career on their career info, so if the Sim is unemployed, he'll continue as unemployed.
