I cannot place objects in Build/Buy

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Snowy escape, eco lifestyle, get to work, get famous, get together, cats and dogs, city living, discover university, island living, seasons, realm of magic, strangerville, jungle adventure, parenthood, vampires, dine out, spa day, outdoor retreat, paranormal, nifty knitting, tiny living, Moschino, my first pet, laundry day, toddlers, fitness, bowling night, vintage glamour, backyard, kids room, romantic garden, movie hangout, spooky, cool kitchen, perfect patio, luxury party.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? not sure.
What happens when the bug occurs? build mode opens, but I cannot click on anything other than wallpaper.
What do you expect to see? I expected to be able to use build mode.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes

I was extremely excited to use the new bunk beds, but was extremely disappointed my game was broken.

merging this with main thread. Sounds like mods still active issue.

Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

• Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
• Tray Folder
• Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
• Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
• Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
• ConfigOverride, if you have your own configuration files.
• Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Go to Build Mode
What happens when the bug occurs? When I click on an item in Build Mode, nothing happens. The object does not come up for me to place it. I have tried this with multiple items such as refrigerators and beds but no matter what I click on, none of the objects show up to be placed. I am able to move objects currently placed but nothing new.
What do you expect to see? I expect to click on an object in Build Mode it should appear and have the ability to be placed.

I can't place any objects from Build mode in the game.

No problem 🙂. My game was fixed by taking out twistedmexi's mods and updating the more columns mod

Quick update...

So, I removed MCCC and that was the broken mod. Not sure if deaderpool know it is broken I can't seem to find them on twitter and I don't have discord to see if anyone else is experiencing the same issues I had. But yeah, defo MCCC.

I tested all my mods individually adding them back to the folder one by one and that was the one that was causing the issue for BB mode. I’ll redownload if they’re saying it’s compatible 🤷🏻‍♀️
