Amethebe  Please disable any apps you use that come with overlays: Discord, Steam, etc.  Disable the EA App in-game overlay too, under Settings > Application.

If that doesn't help, try playing in windowed mode.  If you can't change the in-game setting, open Options.ini, in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4, search for fullscreen , and set it to 0 (zero).
