pabbised The problem is something in your old Sims 4 folder, but not the entire folder. So start moving files from the old folder to the new one and see what stops the game from working. I'd test your mods and custom content first; another possible source of error is a stale file in ConfigOverride.
Aside from mods and cc, you'd likely want to preserve the contents of saves and Tray (saved households and builds), and possibly Screenshots and Recorded Videos. But the rest can be discarded.
Is it possible to find out what mods specifically are causing this--or which ones are most likely to--or should I just scrap the folder entirely and restart my collecting?
