I can't get past the title loading screen.

I've been playing this game for ten years and I have never had this problem before. It started with me not being able to play a single save file and now I can't play the game at all. I am updated to the most recent version of the game, I removed all mods, I uninstalled and reinstalled the entire game, I have even tried playing the game through steam, and it still won't let me get to the main menu. I can't think of anything I could be doing wrong. It's just frustrating that I've had this game from the beginning and have 30 DLC and I can't even access what I've spent hundreds of dollars on. I sent a report to EA about a possible bug but haven't heard anything. Please let me know if anything comes to mind to solve this problem.

  • BunnyBeaux Creativficsims  As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs, that is if you can get that far.

If that doesn't help, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
